2-3 May: HPR weekend

We're excited to unveil our plans for the first-ever LMA (Proposed) two-day training weekend in the beautiful and picturesque Carmarthenshire. Hosted by Huw Jones of Ffynongain Gundogs, this weekend promises to be one you won't want to miss if you'd like to take your training to the next level.

The event will be split into two days - please note a booking includes both days.

Day 1

Hunting
Retrieving
Water work applicable to HPR working tests

Day 2

Mock working test assessment with the trainer and an A panel judge.
Feedback and training throughout the day

Camping available on site but needs to be booked directly. Please indicate this on your booking form.

Tea and coffee provided. Please bring your own lunch.

Cost: £65 per dog for LMA (Proposed) members / £75 for non-members (both days only)

Only 8 places available - preference to LMA (Proposed) members.

Time: 2 x full days (10-4)

Meet the trainer: Huw Jones

Huw first got involved in gundogs from a very young age. His Grandfather had Irish Setters and Welsh Springer Spaniels. He showed them and shot over them, and on weekends Huw would be there with him helping in the kennels and out shooting over the dogs, and that’s where his love of dogs started.

First Welsh man to be asked to Captain the Great Britain Retriever Gundog team, Wales International Gundog team Captain/Manager, BASC Gundog, advisor for Wales, Gundog Trainer of the Year 2016/2017, just to name a couple.
